Infinite Dimensional Tiering

Course Objective At the end of the course the student should be able to - explain how control systems where the dynamics is governed by a pde may be modeled as a state space system, - apply concepts from systems and control theory such as stability and stabilizability to such systems. The student should have an understanding of the theory of semigroups of operators, and be able to set up the correct semigroup in the context of a problem as described above.

Course Content This course provides an introduction to linear infinite dimensional systems. We will study the state space formulation of these systems.
